About Dr. Ruth
As a teenager in high school I competed internationally in the sport of track and field. I experienced first hand the benefits of chiropractic care on my performance and resistance to injuries. That same benefit has caused the demand for equine chiropractic care to sky-rocket.
I attended the University of Nebraska on an athletic scholarship. In 1988 I graduated “cum laude” from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. While enrolled at CMCC I read about Dr Sharon Willoughby, a veterinarian and chiropractor who provided chiropractic care for animals. I was intrigued. Shortly after graduation I opened a chiropractic office in Lucan, Ontario. I also fulfilled a childhood dream and got myself a horse.
Twelve busy years later I enrolled in Options for Animals, Dr Willoughby’s school for teaching animal chiropractic. In 2001, I became certified by the American Veterinarian Chiropractic Association (AVCA) to practice animal chiropractic.
Eventually I sold my practice in Lucan and presently my career is focused entirely on equine chiropractic care.
I live on a farm near West Lorne, Ontario and travel to farms in that area adjusting horses of all disciplines.
I love the challenge my career offers as well as the satisfaction and gratitude I get from horses and their owners. I am continually striving to learn more from seminars, books, articles and from my clients.
On my week-ends I am usually trail riding on one of my three horses, Fred, Joe or Belle.
Live your Dreams!
